Young people have been audible and visible around the world recently on the subject of climate change. Moray House Trust offered Guyana’s youth a platform to share their perspectives on climate change in a public forum.
Alex Arjoon, (documentary film maker, REEL Guyana), Khadidja Ba, (Policy Forum Guyana Youth), Chevy Devonish, (Guyana National Youth Council) were the members of the panel. Tricia Teekah was the moderator.

Their topics were all related to the main theme:
1: Footage and commentary showing some of the effects of climate change. [Alex]
2: The role of youth in climate change [Khadidja]
3: Proposal to move the capital city inland.[Chevy]

The event was well attended and there was a lively discussion and debate.

Moray House Trust extends warm thanks to Conservation International and WWF for providing limited sponsorship for the event.

UPDATE: IN April 2020, REEL Guyana released a film, Coast Land, about rising sea levels. It includes footage from this event: https://youtu.be/Ktbr3B17USs
