The late Dr. Denis Williams (1923-1998) was an artist, archaeologist, author and administrator par excellence. He won a British Council Scholarship to the Camberwell School of Art in 1946 and lived in London for the next decade teaching art. He went on to work in Sudan and Nigeria. In 1980 he began extensive archaeological work in the North West region of Guyana.
Stanley Greaves, a friend and contemporary of the late Dr. Williams, spoke about one of his paintings, Human World. Professor Mark G. Plew, Ph.D., University Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Department of Anthropology, Boise State University spoke about his archaeological fieldwork, and research.
