Chris Lewis was an England cricketer in the early 1990s, playing dozens of Tests and One Day Internationals. His career came to an abrupt end when he was convicted and sentenced to prison for drug smuggling. Out of this, rather improbably, emerged a play. Working with a playwright, Lewis was able to convey some of the many phases of his singular journey from despair to acceptance. He kindly agreed to talk a little about this process with local playwright, Mosa Telford.
